I'm so late on this blogging bandwagon i've pretty much fallen off, but it must be spoken of. The. Stone. Roses. Are. Back. I wont lie, I cried after I found out. Well it was while I sat in my room listening to their glory days, but I wanna be adored and I am the resurrection are enough to induce tears at the best of times and then she bangs the drums is a full on emotional break down of happiness. They were the band who changed the face of english music with one gloriously exciting album and one that went a bit tits up in the eyes of the reviewer. They inspired bands like oasis and the maccabees and they were leaders. They led the next generation of music. and yeah some people might say they were given too much credit for a band with such a little discography but everything they did was golden. Despite the mass consensus I think their second album was alright, it had some tunes on it, i love tears and ten storey love song. so fuck you. And yeah i'm excited about the rumoured new material because I do actually think it'd be good, and no I don't really care if the only reason they're doing a reunion is for the money, because no matter what their motives they are actually a good band. The stone roses were never really about the talent anyway, they were about a movement in music, about something fresh and new and exciting. They were about living.  so boom. take my bullshit sentiments.

Something else that you'll all hate me for is my obsessive and actually quite scary love for The Velvet Underground. I'm just at that kind of time where The Velvets and The Cure are all i'm listening to. Truthfully they're often accompanied by tears of classic teenage angst, but that's irrelevant. The one right now is Femme Fatale, Nico is an amazing inspiring and just plain beautiful woman, and her odd little German voice makes the song so perfect. I feel like a lot of the velvets songs aren't quite done fully but this one is an exception, it's perfect and whole and wonderful. And the lyrics are brilliant. and it's just perfect.

ugh at life. Ugh at times when you remember exactly why you hate literally everyone. Take that full on angsty shit.

Went to an arctic monkeys concert last night, so more on that soon.. wooo.

Oh pretentious blog title. Nice one.
So here we are, got some nice new tunes for you you lucky buggers.
Firstly, The Filthy habits, They're nice and good. Listen to them here and then go and become a crazy fan because everyone loves a crazy fan.

I like them because I don't feel I have to write much about them and their musical influences and the merits of their bass lines because you just listen to it and you understand it all anyway. There's nothing complex and confusing, it's just straight up good tunes. LOVE.

Another band which are a bit of a contrast to The Filthy Habits is "She's Out of My League" Their music is well cute and my friends in it. But that's not why I like them. Like they're good like. Go search them on Facebook and become a fan because then you'll be cool like me. Well that's probably not really an incentive because i'm not cool, but my point still stands. So go listen to some tunes. They'll make you happy. They have a new song called it all becomes clear which I am currently listening to, I literally love it. It's got solid lyrics and a lovely tune. So boom.

It's indie rock n roll for me. It's all I need. Well that's not strictly true. I'm also pretty sure I need food and shit like that. But the point is I love the killers, like pie. I use that simile way too often i'm probably hurting pie's feelings. I don't love their contemplative moody shit. Because you know I expect a little more from Mormons. I am down with sam's town but anything past that is a piss take mate. Hot fuss is a babe of sorts. and it has THE tune glamorous indie rock n roll on. That song just does some thing to me. It evokes feelings and emotions I didn't know I had.  Admittedly there is a lot of killer haters these days. I don't get it, two years ago the killer's were THE band to love. They were all hip and sexy. I mean their steady decline of good songs can't have helped but Brandon Flowers is a babe. I think people think it's cool to hate them. I mean it's not as cool as hating coldplay but it's still quite cool. I'm not a big fan of Brandon Flowers solo shit because it's too meh but classic killers always kills it. lol.

Well winter was a surprise wasn't it. Wasn't expecting that so soon.

Alriighty my brothers I shall leave you now safe in the knowledge that what you read here today has changed your life for ever. Or at least you read it.

Remember Yesterday..

It's that well good singing man. You know. You don't know?  YOU SHOULD KNOW.  He's lovely. Farhan Mannan like. Super style. He's cute in a really awkward way..

I really think it's musical genius. He sounds like long white clouds, that band I love more than pie.

I reckon he's going to be big, so should you wish to be all hipster and cool, then you should start becoming a massive fan of him now and in a year people will be like "OMG I just LOVE Farhan" and you can be all like "Pssh, I loved him last year when he was obscure" and people will probably hate you. Or you could just love him now and tell everyone about him and they'll all be like "OMG thank you so much for telling me about him. My life is now drastically better!" and you'll get loads of friends. Well thats the aim. If not you can get cats and sing them his songs. At least something would love you.

Also he's a lovely chap so you should love him.



Everyone knows why my soul is hurting. Bloc party. Without Kele. How can you have Bloc Party without Kele. I'm really upset and i don't think The other three can do it. They're all really good musicians probably better than Kele, but they have absolutely no charisma. Why cruel world? why?

Well that's all.
I think I might go and cry while listening to Flux.
